Terry has been a mortgage professional for over two decades. During his professional career, he has been a mortgage loan originator, a mortgage educational trainer, and has served in leadership as a branch manager. In all these capacities, he has had a driven focus of assisting his clients beyond just obtaining a mortgage, and has always put strategic mortgage planning as a focal point of any overall financial plan.
Terry’s mortgage practice now takes on a special focus of assisting divorcing and divorced homeowners in planning successful mortgage strategies when it comes to best outcomes regarding the marital home in divorce.
Terry is a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP®) with the Divorce Lending Association and served as past Director of Member Services for that national association.
Terry has worked successfully with many family law attorneys and their clients to plan for a successful, and less stressful, transition of the marital home in divorce cases.
As a Founding Partner of the Divorce Mortgage Strategies Group (DMSG), Terry works as a liaison between clients and their professional divorce team members by working to implement divorce mortgage planning strategies and reducing an otherwise stressful process.
He has used his incredible background and experience to help hundreds of divorcing or divorced homeowners to achieve successful outcomes. He now utilizes all of the DMSG proprietary planning tools that are used to laser focus on all of the relevant divorce issues and maximize the best outcomes.
When not developing mortgage strategies for his clients, Terry enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with his family.
Terry is a Brokering Loan Originator for NEXA Mortgage, LLC (the country’s largest mortgage broker) and has access to over 180 different lenders – assuring a solution to every scenario.
He is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky and will gladly consult with clients and divorce professionals to get started in planning for success regarding the marital home.

I have dedicated my entire professional career (30+ years) to direct lending. I have one PRIMARY niche in the residential lending space - lending to those homeowners going through or having gone through divorce and I have one SECONDARY niche - using reverse mortgages as a financial planning tool for those aged 62+.
In the divorce lending space, I consider myself a "divorce professional" that happens to be a licensed residential mortgage loan officer. I am a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP®) and have expertise in navigating the mortgage underwriting guidelines with respect to divorce. I can provide great value to both my fellow divorce professionals (family law attorneys, financial advisors etc.) as well as divorcing homeowner by being a key part of a successful professional divorce team. Preferably as early in the divorce process as possible. As someone who has "been there and done that" with divorce myself, I offer great passion and compassion to my profession in moving people through to those "sunny future chapters" yet to be written in their story while, at the same time, moving them to their desire successful outcome when it comes to their housing options.
In the reverse lending space, I am a Certified Reverse Mortgage Specialist (CREV®), I guide senior homeowners (aged 62+) to enhanced financial, estate and long term care planning by educating and empowering them with my expertise with reverse mortgages. While not for everyone, reverse mortgages are a potentially very powerful financial planning tool that is often underutilized and misunderstood. A tool that can be a game changer or even a life saver in the right situation. I find that being of that "certain age group" myself, I can bring great value to seniors in this regard.
I am a strong finance professional with an MBA in Finance and a BS in Accounting. I work for the countries' largest mortgage broker and have access to over 200 different lenders. I previously worked as a Commercial Loan Officer for 20+ years for banks and I know exactly what Lenders and Borrowers require in getting loans CLOSED. As such, I know how to best navigate the entire process for my Clients - from application to underwriting approval documentation and closing.
I've learned over the course of my career that there are 3 simple traits of success in any business - 1) ALWAYS be trustworthy and kind (aka be yourself), 2) ALWAYS deliver on your promises and 3) ALWAYS listen and learn.
I'm currently licensed in PA, NJ, DE, CT, VA, FL and OH.
